A Lady
was blind right from the birth, so she used to keep aloof and sit in a
corner of the house. Her entire family was in despair. The Trust trained her
in such a way that she runs now a small provision store in her village and
earn at about Rs.1000/- per month.

Parent's Emotions:
My daughter was born blind and hence she
was unable to do any work in the house. Shri V. S. Gandhi Charitable Trust
came to her rescue as an angel. The trust trained her to identify various
food grains and currency coins and bills and to walk, move around with the
help of stick and also to cook. Later she was provided a small kiosk to sell
food grains, bangles, cigarettes, etc. She runs her kiosk on her own. Now
she earns at about Rs.30/- to rs.40/- per day and she has been an asset to
the family. |

A
family was greatly concerned as there was a Mentally Challenged
girl-child in the family. The Trust arranged for the child's training
and guided her parents. After four years of training she has been able
to assimilate herself in the mainstream of society and lead normal life.
As a consequence her family members have heaved a sign of great relief.

Parent's Emotions:
A Considerable
improvement is found in our daughter after she was trained at the center of
the Trust. She prepares snuff packets and has been a good help in the
chores. She is able to perform her routine work independently.

A Hearing
Impaired Girl Child has been trained by a special Educator. She has been
provided with a Hearing Aid also. Now there has been improvement in her
capacity to hear and speak.

Parent's Emotions:
My Child has been
greatly benefited. Her ears were examined and she was provided with a
Hearing Aid. This has been of tremendous advantage to us. She continues to
receiving training at the Kapadwanj Resource Centre of the Trust. The work
of the Trust, to say the least, is highly laudable.

A
CATARACT affected girl child has been rehabilitated by our trust under
prevention programme. She has been operated upon for CATARACT and then
motivated for taking up education. By efforts and active support of
trust, she got a new vision for her life.

She has been greatly helped by the Trust. CATARACT operation
by the Trust has helped to see the things very easily. If the prevention
team were not reached us then our daughter will face this problem in whole
life because it is not possible for us to spend enough time & money for the
