Trust
is involved in development of professionals in Disability Sector.
Organization has been recognized as a Training Center under which following Training Programmes were conducted.
A)
Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation :
Under
the affiliation with CBR Network (South Asia) – Bangalore from candidates
appeared in Diploma in CBR through Distance Education. We are happy to
acknowledge that with the guidance of the staff of the Trust all four of them
have passed. It is worth noting that two out of them got employment in DDRC and
one has joined the V.S.Gandhi Charitable Trust.
B) FOUNDATION COURSE ON EDUCATION OF
CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES (FC-SEDE)
Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) has
been set up under an act of Parliament of 1992 and is inter
alia empower to regulate and standardize syllabi for all
professionals needed for the special education of
rehabilitation of the disabled. The MOU has been signed
between Madhya Pradesh Bhoj university and
Rehabilitation Council of India. These courses aim to
develop understanding and basic competencies in teacher for
dealing children with Disabilities. The programmes will enable
them to imbibe knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills
to impart education efficiently to children with various
disabilities.
BPA – The nodal Agency of the Madhya
Pradesh BHOJ (Open) University (MPBOU) selected this trust as
a study centre for this course.
29 Primary teachers from various schools
of Kheda districts underwent a certificate course of 3 months.
This is a course recognized by RCI. At the end of this course
they were examined during which all 29 teachers passed their
examination and were given certificates by RCI. These teachers
are recognized as a Resource Person for the Pay Centre.
This course was initiated and financed by
the Government of Gujarat under District Primary Education
Programme.
C) Training of teacher under “SARVA SHIKSHA
ABHIYAN”
Under
this scheme class teachers of the class in which disable children are studying
were given training to make them aware of the disabilities and understanding
the problems of the disables. 630 teachers were given 3 days training and other
775 teachers were given one day training.
