Late Shri. Vadilal S. Gandhi, the father of Shri. Mukundlal V. Gandhi was a visionary and believed in the principle "Service unto people is service unto God". Shri. Mukundbhai was eager and determined to give concrete form to his father's principle. In his resolve in this direction, Shri. Mukundbhai's wife late Smt. Shardaben acted as a fountain-head of inspiration. As a Consequence, Shri. Mukundbhai set up a trust named "Shri. Vadilal S. Gandhi Charitable Trust " in the year 1987.

This trust is dedicated to the task of providing selfless services for the welfare of the mankind, particularly for the disabled people. After initial survey in the year 1997, it was decided to begin the activities of the trust in Kapadwanj, sub-district of Kheda District in Gujarat State in India. Gradually the Trust expanded both its activities and area of action to other surrounding sub-districts of Kathalal, Thasara, Balasinor and Virpur in Kheda District of Gujarat.
